New "Simple Truths" Website Empowers Community with Clear, Transparent School Finance Information
We are excited to announce that Rockwall ISD officially launched Simple Truths, a website designed to encourage financial transparency and to share facts about how public schools are funded and how local tax dollars are being spent.
Officer Land Speaks
Mrs. Henson's science 7th grade classes enjoyed learning about authentic engaging connections to science content. Speaker Officer Land from Dallas Police Departments Vehicle Crimes Unit explained to students about how he uses scientific caluclations in his everyday job. Students always ask: "When are we going to use this in real life?" Mr. Land's presentation explains how officers use skid marks and calculations to understand how accidents occur.
Art
The middle schoolers are doing an amazing job in Mr. Forgey’s art class! Their creativity, focus, and enthusiasm really shine through in every project they create.
AVID with Mrs. Rakow
The school's namesake, Ursula Rakow, had an amazing day meeting and speaking to Coach Cohen’s AVID classes!
Orchestra
What a fun night with the RMS Orchestra! Their phenomenal teacher shared their secret handshake, good practices, challenges and the Students’ melodic power of the strings. Looking forward to hearing Jingle Bells at the winter concert. Thank you RMS Orchestra‼️❤️🖤

The dedication will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Ursula Rakow Middle School, located at 4700 Gettysburg Blvd. in Fate.

Both the Rockwall High School Orange Wave Band and the Rockwall-Heath High School Mighty Hawk Band earned Division I ratings at the UIL Area C Marching Band Contest, advancing to the state competition and making district history.

The hall is named after a James Randolph, Jr., a highly respected member of the Rockwall community who dedicated his life to the military and educational service.

Rockwall County taxpayers should begin receiving their property tax notices in the mail this week, and as a result, Rockwall ISD is providing clarification regarding the upcoming November 4 Voter-Approval Tax Ratification Election (VATRE).

A total of 259 recognitions were awarded to high school juniors and seniors from the College Board National Recognition Awards for their exceptional academic achievement.

Congratulations to Rockwall High School for being ranked #1 in academic growth among 40 comparable high schools, according to the 2025 Texas Education Agency (TEA) Accountability Ratings.

VATRE 2025
A Voter-Approval Tax Ratification Election (VATRE) is a local school funding election that asks voters whether or not they authorize the school district to access the maintenance and operations tax rate to create additional local funding and additional state funding to be used for specific purposes.
